More and more music apps are adding support for the new iPad’s retina display… I’m probably going to skip the 3rd generation iPad, but to anyone who’s upgraded: how much does the ‘Retina display’ add to the over all experience of a music app? Leave a comment below, and feel free to discuss.

As you might have guessed, it just makes everything look prettier ;)
I had an iPad 1 so the upgrade is a big leap for music apps in terms of performance, but not sure how big a difference it is from iPad 2 – more RAM probably means more multi-tasking (I'm impressed by how many "heavy-weight" apps I can keep running at the same time) but I think the CPU is the same so probably not worth it.
Just don't look to closely at anyone's iPad 3 as once you've got used to that screen, it's impossible to go back!
