Could this be the start of a new platform for mobile music? I for one would seriously consider investing in another platform if it had less restrictions and offered apps comparable to the ones on iOS. In my opinion, iOS’s success is partially due to these restrictions, but having a more open platform could offer several benefits as well. Not having to buy special interfaces/adapters for MIDI hardware, for instance, would be nice.
