If you’re separated from the computer your iDevice is synced to, and in-need of the files exported by an app that only supports iTunes File Sharing, iFunbox can help. There are several free, no jailbreak required iOS file system viewers out there, but this one has shortcuts to all of the iTunes File Sharing files exported by an app. Plus, it’s way faster than iTunes. You can also use these iOS file explorers to retrive or add files to various apps – Animoog for iPad / iPhone being one of them (full app list on the way).
You can download the Mac version here, PC version here.

It is pretty nice. You can access folders directly and swap in/out WAV files, for example, in apps you could not otherwise do. For example, Alchemy Mobile Pro saves projects in folders. Using iFunbox, you can swap in different WAV files for your drum patterns into these project folders. You can’t do that with iTunes.
iFunbox is a great way to backup your iOS music projects.

It’s times like these when I wish there was a version for Linux. There’s an awful lot of old EeePC’s out there which are roughly the same size as the iPad and are as cheap as chips secondhand.

Be careful! I get those download/upload buttons backwards on occasion. At one point, I noticed magellan was taking 8+ gigs of space!
Turns out, I had meant to download the patches to back them up but instead had uploaded the entirety of my computer’s ~/Documents folder to magellan. With great power…
Now I try to only use Drag and Drop with it.
