Quasar and Audiobus?

A nice jam by YouTuber Joey Joel using SoundPrism, Geo Synth, and GarageBand. Quasar is the jailbreak app he’s using, and it seems to provide a much better workflow than iOS’s multitasking. As show in the video, you can easily full screen an app by tapping a button in each window’s bottom bar. When Audiobus arrives, it’d be nice if Quasar let you float an app float on top of another, full screened app. Say, JamUp Pro on top of Auria

[Video] Quasar: playing with 2 or more iOS Music Apps on the iPad

Uploaded by mvpadrini on May 1, 2012:

“Trying a new Tweak for the jailbroken iPad called Quasar. It is great for playing more than one music app in the same screen at the same time and also for changing the behavior of some apps working together.”

[Video] "Ombra Mai Fu" made on smartphones – by DigiEnsemble Berlin featuring Anna Gütter

I love these videos…

Description:
This video shows a performance of the famous aria “Ombra Mai Fu” from
Handel’s serio-comic opera “Serse” (Xerxes) in an experimental version
accompanied on smartphones and tablets. The musicians´s aim is to try
out how to make joint music on smartphones. The 7 players are using the
app “thumbjam” for this expressive interpretation.

The sound you
hear is all played live by the musicians and their smartphones. In this
case we are playing on the app-instrument “thumbjam” for iPod touch and
iPad. By lifting and lowering the devices tone and volume can be
modulated. In this way an expressive play can arise.

However, the DigiEnsemble Berlin plays more than classical music, its musicians experiment with a wide range of genres, play
heavy metal, avantgarde or compose own pieces.

Quick App Tip #10: Song Section Reordering and Duplicating in GarageBand for iPad

GarageBand for iPad makes it easy to arrange or duplicate different sections of a song. Just tap the Song Sections button in the upper left hand corner and choose edit. The duplicating feature is useful whenever you have a part that you need to repeat, but make minor changes to…

What Apps Need: Music Studio, NanoStudio, BeatMaker 2: Song Sections

GarageBand for iPad has this, and it’s soooooo useful! If you’re in an app like Music Studio, and your song is anything more than 30 measures, you dont want to constantly be zooming out and hunting for the next part of the song you want to work on. GarageBand’s ‘Song Sections’ feature takes complete care of this. You can zoom in, and/or jump to, a section easily by tapping on the ‘Song Sections’ button in the upper left hand corner, and selecting a part. Not only is this useful from the track sequencer, but also from instrument pages. Instead of returning to the track sequencer to position the playhead for recording, you can simply select a part from the ‘Song Sections’ menu and the playhead will position itself at the beginning of that section… Brilliant! It’d be awesome to see more studio apps add something like this, especially ones that run on iPhone. The smaller the screen, the more shortcuts you need…
