M-Audio Axiom AIR Mini 32 Keyboard video: “…use with iPad and desktop”

A NAMM sneak peak of the upcoming Axiom Air Mini 32 Keyboard. In the video, “it is a keyboards that’s targeted towards customers who are looking for a very good keyboard to use with both iPad and desktop.” Always nice to see major hardware companies thinking about iOS music creation.

[Question] Akai Mkp25 Mini or Lkp25 for iPad 1?

Akai Professional MPK25 Keyboard USB MIDI Controller (Standard)
Akai MPK25

Got a question submitted to the help, topic suggestion, or news submission forum about what controller to use with the iPad 1:

“Regarding usb power issues, should I buy the Akai Mkp25 Mini or Lkp25 for iPad 1? Feature wise, I’d like the Mkp, but I was wondering whether the smaller Lkp has fewer issues? External USB power is not an option.”

I don’t have either controller so I wouldn’t know, you guys got any ideas?

If you need help, have a topic suggestion, or found something cool you’d like to share, reply to this forum and I’ll put up a post for your question/suggestion!

Controller is a MIDI Latency Factor the iPad Camera Connection Kit?

UPDATE: See this tweet.

Got a few comments on my post about the M-Audio Uno being a slow cable to use with the Camera Connection Kit explaining that the controller used is a latency (the time in-between you playing and hearing the note) factor. Icepulse says that he uses the Uno with his Alesis Micron and doesn’t experience this issue at all. So, it seems that the keyboard may be a factor in this as well…
