More Thoughts on the Mobile POD and Mobile In from Line6

The Mobile POD (App Store link) and Mobile In (Musicians Friend) from Line 6 offer a solid high quality (dock) interface for guitars and other instruments. The one thing it doesn't offer though, is a line out... Somewhat of a let down if you were looking to preform, because you'll be stuck with your iPhone's headphone jack. This will probably never happen (considering how big of a company Line 6 is) but it'd be nice for an in-app-purchase to be added allowing use with other iOS interfaces. It'd probably be no less than $19.99 (the usual cost of gear simulation apps) as you would be avoiding Line 6's deal: get our interface and you don't have to buy the app. If you think about it though, that's pretty fair because there are no in-app-purchases in the Mobile POD, so you'd only be spending $80 total (the cost of the interface). It's just that line out that's bugging me... Line 6 did release a 2nd version of their original Line 6 MIDI Mobilizer, so who knows, maybe we'll be blessed with a Mobile In II... The Mobile POD app is only compatible with the Mobile In, but you can still download it to see all the gear.
